When thinking about the library, you may picture a quiet space filled with dusty books and silent reading... but while our primary goal IS to help develop in students a lifelong love of learning, the truth is, that's a pretty inaccurate picture! If you stop by the IMES library on any given day, what you'll find is a very active and engaging (and oftentimes, quite noisy) learning environment. Here are just a few of the projects our students enjoyed during the 2016-2017 school year. This year, be sure to ask your child to tell you all about the different hands-on activities we are working on in library!
All students in grades K-5 participated in Hour of Code, where they had the opportunity to learn and practice some of the basic principles of computer science.
